Steps to start Backing up your App
Login to your DBSync Salesforce Backup instance
Get started by clicking on the Add App to connect your Salesforce organization.
Post authentication, you can start Backing up Salesforce. You will be navigated into our Backup setup screen where you will be able to select organization/object level Backup.
Backup progress can be viewed with live log screen update. You will also receive an email notification when the Backup is complete.

Backup
Steps to setup Backup:
- Select from one of these two choices :
Backup by Organization
Select this option to back up the entire Salesforce instance.
Backup by Object
Select this option to Backup only specific objects of Salesforce.
2. Save the selection to automate your daily Backup.
3. To start the process, Click on the Backup now.
Note: First-time Backup process takes approximately 2 hours. View the logs for live updates. You will receive an email when the Backup is ready.

Restore
Select from one of these two choices :
1.Merge and Restore
Quick Steps:
•1. Select a object
•2. Select the field
•3. Click on Merge and Restore
•4. Choose the fields Review and Merge

The restore option enables the user to merge the object fields from various profiles into a single record
The user can retain one record as the primary record and restore or merge the other records into the same profile
Metadata
The data which attributes with Configuration and Automation made on your Salesforce instance is what we call Metadata.
This feature helps you to immediately identify data additions, modifications, and deletions.
Use this tool to find the required comparison on your Salesforce instance.
Quick Steps:
1. Select the components or object
2. Choose a date from the datepicker.
3. Review the errors under latest sync and last sync column
4. The errors are color coded for easy reference in Yellow color
5. Quickly fix all errors in the XML
Note : Initially the comparison is based on last sync Backup of metadata

Notification
To receive notification when the Backup process is complete you can set up the preferred email address to receive the notifications and also set up scheduled notifications. You can add more recipients if required.

Logs
The logs screen provides a quick review of the various Backups process and can be viewed by sorting through the App, By Date or by Profile. You can also export all logs to a file and preview.
