Rules are mapping conditions synonymous to "Transformations" ,intermediary process where logic is applied on the extracted information from the source systems before being written to Targeted systems.
The below screen shot illustrates the Rule section . 
A logged in user can create a new rule , by clicking on "Create New Rule" located on the top right section of the page, can be seen from the above screen. Every Rule has two sections one is Target Section, the second being update source section
- user has to select the Target system (i.e Connector of DBSync), Select the operation, select the object and set the mapping from the map link.
- User can check the update source ,if he wishes the target system to notify source system by selecting the connector, operation, object and set on success map and on failure maps
