DBSync is a J2EE complaint application. Therefore, it can run on any J2EE container like Tomcat, JBoss, WebShere or others as a WAR deployment. By default, installation folder of DBSync's On-Premise version comes along with Tomcat.

Operating Systems

 As DBSync is a Java based application, it can run on any Java supported platforms - like windows, linux and unix. It is also supported for both 32bit and 64bit processors by installing the appropriate Java VM and J2EE container.

UnixFlavorsWe do not officially support the Unix operating system as it has not been tested by DBSync teams. If your system meets the requirement for linux, or if you are using the modern unix version that support JVM then, installation might work.

Java 7 or 8 is required. However, we recommend using Java 8.

The version of 1.7.0_79 and 1.8.0_131 are internally tested.

JDK (Windows & Linux)DBSync also requires Oracle JDK other than JRE. See the java documentation to learn about JDK.
JRE (Windows & Linux)DBSync only supports the oracle Java run time - formerly (known as sun java run time). During installation the installer detects if the machine has JRE installed or not. If it is found that JRE is not installed then, the DBSync installation comes with pre compiled version of JRE that is run during installation.

To know which version of Java is installed in your machine, open the command prompt and type "java - version". This will return the java installed on your machine. Alternatively, you can also open your root folder and navigate to program files to check if the folder "Java" exist in it or not . If the folder exists then, java is installed on your machine. If the folder does not exists then, you can install Java by clicking on the following link:

Supported Browsers

DBSync's iPaaS is built on responsive design. The design supports almost all popular web browsers. This makes your user experience intuitive, appealing and readable thereby, enabling you to configure and build your integration with ease. We, however, recommend using the following browsers. These browsers have been tested by our teams and will provide you best user experience while working on web.

Useful hint

  • All browsers must have cookies and java script enabled.
  • Browsers that use the latest version of Webkit, Blink or Gecko are not directly supported.
  • For Firefox, apart from the stable versions, there is also support for the latest Extended Support Release of the chrome.
  • Internet Explorer 8 & 9 are also supported. But, please be aware that some CSS 3 and HTML 5 elements are not fully supported.
  • Please whitelist DBSync Website, iPaaS from your browser setting. Sometimes, a browser may block pop ups and, as a result, may not open few modal windows.
  • The platform may not function in older Internet Explorer compatibility modes. Make sure you are using latest rendering mode. To do so from your debugging tools -> Press F12 and check the property "Document Mode".
