In the context of DBSync, what is an Action?

An action is a process of exchanging the data from the source adapter to the destination adapter. You can have multiple actions as per your requirements. Actions can be activated or de-activated by selecting the check box in the “Action Box” of the Process Definition Page.

Note: You can create new Actions in the Process-Definition for performing the sync. You need to create Actions and select the checkbox of ‘Active’ under the respective Action list to make the required actions as Active and In-Active. To create a new Action, execute the following steps:

1. Add a new process definition to learn how: visit section 3.1

2. After naming the new process, right click on the process name under the Navigation bar and select the “open” option as shown in screenshot 27.
3. Upon opening the process flow map, click on the “Create State” icon on the left side of the application under the “Toolbar” menu as indicated by the red arrow in screenshot 29 (below), then Drag and Drop the “Create State” icon anywhere on the canvas (the canvas is the area known as the “Control Flow”) to create a new action as illustrated in screenshot 30.
A dialog box will also appear with the message “Enter the name for new state” Enter a name for the action that fits your business process.
