Salesforce and QuickBooks Desktop ---- Account to Customer Integration
Let's go through a case where in we have to sync a Salesforce standard field Account to QuickBooks standard field Customer.
Issue: " ERROR:(3185) - There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Customer "Alice Hunter" in the Invoice.  QuickBooks error message: The specified name is either invalid or of the wrong type."
The synchronization was not working as the account name in Salesforce was not matching with the customer name in the QuickBooks Desktop.

Solution:

Description : When a user is trying to Integrate Salesforce Opportunities  with QuickBooks Desktop Invoices, the synchronization does not work. This is because, the Account Name already exists in Salesforce and it matches with the Customer Name in QuickBooks Desktop. As a result, DBSync throws the error.

ResolutionQuickBooks Desktop does not support duplicate Customer nameName to be synced again. Hence I told the client to edit the Account name in salesforce by adding any character and run the sync in the web connector.
Later the client edited the Account name by adding a period(dot) at the end of the name as shown below and ran the synchronization.

After the synchronization was completed the Account synchronized successfully in QuickBooks as shown below

Hence the issue was resolved by following the above procedures. Anchor_GoBack_GoBack, either change the Account Name in Salesforce (e.g., by using initials); or, run the sync using Web Connector.
