Quick Start Guide

This section will help you Get Started with DBSync GSuite Backup and provides a quick look into the process to initiate your google workspace which includes Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Google Contacts Backup.

Steps to Start Backing Up your GSuite

  • Log in to the DBSync GSuite instance

  • Enter login credentials

  • You will be redirected to the apps page.

  • Select the profile from this section

  • You will be redirected to GSuite Backup Settings page

  • For setting up GSuite Backup follow the steps provided in GSuite Backup

  • This configuration is performed for the first time login only. 

  • Select the profile and you will be redirected to the dashboard section

  • The dashboard provides a brief overview of the history of backups, backup size, summary sorted by apps and overall summary. 

  • To start the Gsuite Backup process, click on Backup from the top navigation toolbar

  • You will be redirected to the backup page

  • Choose from the options: Backup by Organization or by User and checkbox the required apps(Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar)  that you want to backup. You can also see the size of the backup and the last backup schedule. Click on Backup Now.

  • You will be redirected to the logs section where you can track the progress of the backup.

  • Once the backup is complete it will also reflect on the dashboard.

  • To get notifications of the backup, you can activate the same from the notifications sections.

  • Click on Notifications from the top navigation toolbar

  • You can provide the email address to which you want to receive the notifications

  • Click Save
