What Is Budget Vs. Actual?

A budget is a numerical prediction of what a company's financial results will be in the upcoming year. When actual financial results become available, a report called budget vs. actual is produced that compares the two for each category of revenues and expenditures.

How to go about Budget Vs Actual?

Click on Budget Vs Actual in the AccountingBook Links in the home page

 

 

A new page opens, where you need to feed in the relevant data. This data is previously entered Budget which will be later compared with the Actuals




A new page opens, where the Variance between the Budget and the Actual is shown. You can click on the Download button to download the Variance spread sheet for future references



Similar report can be generated to view monthly, quarterly and yearly variance.
